Does xanax control emotions? |
| |
There are no drugs on the market that "control" emotions. Xanax, along with other similar drugs used to treat anxiety disorders does no more than change the level of some of the chemicals in the brain. These chemicals are thought to affect the way in which people feel or react to situations producing anxiety or panic. But there is no certain way of making the emotions do what we want. Xanax can reduce anxiety or panic but it cannot change the habit patterns that produce these emotions. That requires therapy and counseling.
