I have diabetes. Should I take Xanax?

When you are first diagnosed with diabetes, this can be a worrying time. Indeed, it’s often the case that increased anxiety about your health was one of the factors that drove you to see a doctor. In general, it’s better to manage diabetes without the use of xanax.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is the best option or, if a drug is the affordable choice, try one of the less powerful anti-anxiety drugs before coming to xanax. Since diabetes is one of the most common causes of kidney failure, you also need to monitor your health carefully because xanax is not a good drug to take if you have kidney problems. That said, you can take xanax as a diabetic so long as you are careful not to exceed the prescribed dosage and take it only for a short period of time.
